We play at random times at our own discretion! Fresh from our recent success at the Haig Park Market, Winter Wonderland on Sunday 14th July we are planning on some Saturdays at Little Burley Market and Sundays at Haig Park Market. Our collective agreement is to support climate and refugee events and actions around ACT. Other causes and actions are open to consideration.
We are an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to be a sort of executive officer for the week… but all the decisions of that officer have to be ratified at a special bi-weekly meeting… by a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs… but by a two thirds majority in the case of… [it isn’t really like this at all, and this retrograde movie quote is only included as an evocative instance of light-weight whimsy.]
No one expects the Canberra Riff Raff Radical Marching Band!
Riff Raff Radical Marching Band are looking for sweet new members and supporters! Including people that can play trombone, trumpet, clarinet, sax, flute, euphonium/tuba, and any forms of percussion.
You don’t need to be particularly good, but do need to be part of our collective commitment to not being crap. And, the less crap the better, really.
We meet the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 11am to 1pm at Smith’s Alternative, Alinga Street, Canberra. Just near the tram [light-rail] stop, at the end of the line.
